Charaideo is a place which is commonly called as "Pyramids of Assam". It is situated at Charaideo district. This place contains many burial grounds of the Ahom rulers and their queens which are considered to be very holy. There are about 42 tombs of the king and queens. This is a very beautiful place. many tourist visits here from different places.
How to reach Charaideo for Guwahati city.
There are two main ways to reach Charaideo. One is by bus or other is by train or somebody also hire cab to reach here. But hiring of cab is costly. There are no Air or Water ways to reach here.The distance from Guwahati to Charaideo is about 384 KM via NH27 and NH715 and it takes about 9 hours or 407 KM via NH15 and NH715 and takes about 11 hours to reach Charaideo.

| From Simaluguri to Charaideo by cab |
There are lots of private bus services and a govt. bus service (ASTC) from Guwahati to Charaideo. To avail these bus service buy tickets at guwahati from Guwahati to Sonari or Namrup. Or buy train ticket from Guwahati railway Junction to Simaluguri Junction. Drop at Simaluguri Junction and pick a bus or tracker to Charaideo maidam. Its near about 12 KM from Simaluguri to Charaideo and takes about 0.5 hours to reach there. Or someone can also hire a taxi to reach the destination.
